The AM&TS has been established in Hoogerheide, originated from the former Fokker business school. In 2004 the school was certified (Part-147) by EASA, the European organization that manages the aviation legislation. In 2009 the idea to also undertake commercial activities arose from the ambition from The Netherlands to become a leading country in the field of Maintenance. The growing shortage of (aviation) technicians in the Netherlands and in Europe was an important reason for AM&TS to grow. The ROC West-Brabant supports this ambition, along with the Dutch Institute World Class Maintenance and Aviolanda Woensdrecht. AM&TS contributes to sufficient and qualified aviation technicians. And thus to an airworthy, secure and future-proof aviation sector.
