We are proud to introduce AM&TS structure courses to you, offering a complete range of composites and sheet metal technical training.The focal point of AM&TS: provide training to turn mechanics into skilled composites specialists with hands-on experience using techniques developed at the aviation industry.We provide training that meets the needs of (future) specialist. Small classes (only 4 to 6 trainees) ensure individual attention for each trainee.
The use of advanced composites (Fibre Reinforced Plastics) is rapidly increasing. In Aviation advanced composites have been commonly used for many years now. Other branches are discovering the advantages of composites. Due to the increased volume and new production and manufacturing techniques the prices of composites are decreasing, thus making composites parts more affordable. Nowadays composites are used in many branches, e.g. the automotive, marine and the energy-producing branch. In high-demanding applications traditional metals are more and more replaced by composites.
Compared to metal constructions, the application of composites requires a new design philosophy, different manufacturing methods, adapted maintenance concepts and unique repair approaches. The quality of the final product relies on the entire manufacturing and/or repair process. To reach or restore the product to the original strength/stiffness specifications, employees should have theoretical and working knowledge of composites. Therefore, dedicated training and hands-on experience are crucial.
AM&TS provides technical training for specialists that manufacture and/or repair composites parts and other lightweight structures such as aluminium sheet metal. AM&TS also provides training courses on sealing compounds, corrosion control, resin infusion techniques and Hot Bonder application. There are specialized training courses on repair of specific subjects like rotor blades, radomes and helicopter structures.
