As of last month, the Aircraft Maintenance & Training School (AM&TS) in Hoogerheide, The Netherlands has expanded its EASA Part-147 approval certificate for Basic Training with Type Rating for Type Training. By obtaining this certification AM&TS reinforces its relationship with the Aviation industry. Engaging in conversations with businesses on matters such as the required competencies and skill level of their Aviation Maintenance staff, the AM&TS is capable to find the right match between its training programme and labor market needs.

Fokker Type Training
The certification is valid for Type Training B1 and B2 for the types F27, F50/60 and F70/100. AM&TS is now capable to supply aircraft operators and MROs, worldwide, with trained staff for the entire Fokker fleet. This qualification applies to both the Mechanical B1.1 and B2 Avionics maintenance technicians. The type rating is the next step in the career of an Aircraft maintenance mechanic (certified with a Basic Training license).

“Fokker Services is glad to see AM&TS take over responsibility for the type training for all Fokker aircraft models. This professional training organization, as a FLYFokker partner, will ensure Fokker operators continued high quality access to these training courses which underpins Fokker Services' continued commitment to support Fokker operators” says Mr. Peter Somers, President Fokker Services B.V.
